Hey folks,
Does anyone have any clue how to fix this problem...
I used the BlackBerry desktop software for the first time today and noticed there was an "update available" for my phone. I proceeded to go through the LONG download process.
Everything seemed to go through fine, but then when I had to start re-inputting all the info on my phone I got nervous that I was going to screw something up or lose everything.
I decided to stop what I was doing and revert to what I had backed up before I started the download. I THOUGHT that I would still have the new operating system on my phone, but when the process was done, I didn't really notice anything different at all. It looks like when I reverted to the back-up, I got my old operating system back! All that time wasted.

Now, throughout the day though, I have come across a few little annoying things....
-I had a few voice notes saved and now they are all dated August 15th, 2010 (the day I backed up) instead of their true dates. I really wanted to remember those dates and now they are gone.
-All my ringers and alerts were totally screwed up and changed. I had to go through and re-input all of them. Waste of time.

And this one is really getting to me...
On my external display, when the indicator comes up to show that I have an e-mail or text or whatever, the font of the numbers has totally changed. It is not the same smooth font as before, but this horrible looking thing that is just annoying me. Lol. I know it's a little thing, but I am so mad that my phone is probably stuck this way now!

I keep kicking myself for trying to download the new operating system in the first place when I had no clue what I was doing. That'll teach me!

Anyway, if there is any kind person out there who has any clue how to fix this please enlighten me!

The new os would look just like your old one with just some tweaks to fix the bugs. Everything, including notes, back up just fine. The external display is changeable in the options menu.
