Trouble with the alarm...

This is going to sound like a dumb question, but I'm kind of stumped. Got this misbegotten, malfunctioning pos Flip about a year back, had to have it replaced three times but I've had good luck with the last one for the last 8 months or so until the Bluetooth failed. Darn thing's out of warranty now and I've dropped back to a spare phone I had for carry-around since it actually runs Bluetooth.

So I'm using the 8220 as an alarm clock... until THAT function quits also.

But with the sim transfer went my downloaded ring tones. I downloaded (once again) the ring tone I've been using as an alarm (it wakes me, but not my wife) and I'm running into the following problem -

The damn thing will play once, then stop. In the previous config, it would play three times. Can't find the option in the menus that let me set it to three times again.

I don't think I was imagining the 3-repeat - so how do I get it back? Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated!
