Software loading issue
I've spent about 4 hours straight trying to fix my phone, thought I had finally figured it out, but then I encountered a problem that all my searching can't find (hopefully I'm just missing the obvious). This site has provided a lot of help in getting this far, so I figured I'd make my first post here.
Around Christmas I got a JVM 547 error, about a flash write error. Did the battery pull 10+ times and it suddenly booted up without any issues. I didn't turn the phone off from that point (I was away from my computer and wanted to try and back it up) but it turned off on Dec. 31st, same error. Did a bunch of battery pulls, started getting a JVM 517 error. More battery pulls, device starts working. Got back to my computer, backed up all my files. Phone keeps working for a week, then shuts off randomly today.
Now it is in an endless reboot cycle, never even getting to an error page. Figured it was nuked, found out how to reload the OS on a nuked phone and started that process: Got into the AppLoader, connected my phone without the battery and got my computer to recognize the device. Downloaded the OS from my carrier T-Mobile, told it to install. After erasing all applications, when it gets to loading the software on to my phone, I can hear the device disconnect, and it tells me that the application loader cannot detect my device.
I've updated to the most recent edition of desktop manager, I've wiped the phone with JL Commander, I've ensured my USB ports do not shut off and my battery is fully charged. Like I said, as soon as it starts trying to put software onto my phone, the phone is disconnected, the application loader shows an error message and in the meantime the phone reboots and displays the 507 error message.
Any ideas of what is causing it? I really hope it's not a hardware issue and that it can't even write to the device. Had the phone 11 months, out of warranty, up for upgrade in November...
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
