Small Ears Earphone
The earphones that came with my pearl are painfully big for my dainty little ears. Seriously, mine are small!
What's a good alternative? I dont need the best sound in the world, although I'd like it to be decent. I mostly listen to podcasts.
I'd also like to have the little button in the wire that allows me to "stop" without having to flip the phone open. In fact, it would be nice to do a lot of the audio functions without having to open it.
Any suggestions? - 10-13-2009, 03:09 PM #2
I use the JVC earbuds because they are soft and conforming. They do not have a little button though. For what they are, the sound is decent, and they dont cost an arm and a leg. They even come with spare buds for whatever reason. They are model number HA-FX34. Try those out and see what you think.

The OEM headphones are the only ones with a working Pause button on the cord. You don't have to open the phone to use the mute/pause and volume/skip buttons with the built in media player. The newest Slacker also sees the mute/pause button when the phone is closed.

I don't know about the controls on the cord part, but Skull Candy has really nice earbuds that conform to the shape of your ear. I have small ears too and I can't use most earbuds, but these ones are great. I think the cheapest kind they have are called "Inked".

you don't have to open the phone to "skip"? How do you do that? I can mute/pause only with the phone closed

Hold the Volume Up key for 2 seconds to skip forward to the next track, and the Volume Down key for 2 seconds to skip backward. These two shortcuts aren't in the media player section of the master shortcut thread below (which is a repost from another site).
