Default Pearl Flip Keypad problems

Buttons along the left side of the keypad require a really hard push to register, most notably the "A-S" key and "Q-W" key. This is the second flip I have owned and both phones did this after about a year of use. Its infinitely frustrating because of how much you use the A and S key while typing texts/emails.

Any way to fix this? Phone has not had water damage.

I have had this problem too with mine. Also noticed that sometimes when I am trying to type an s at the end of a word it'll sometimes type a period instead, which is really weird since the period is on the opposite side of the key pad and a row above it.
