    Default MMS/Pics problem

I have cingular and have the data plan as well as the service books. I have an unlocked flip 8220 and I can use the internet and send/receive email. The problem I have is MMS and pictures sent to me.
Anytime I try and use MMS I get the red x next the message after I try and send it. ANY pics sent to me I cannot view it says could not retrieve message content. The download size is 32k... I go to retrieve now and it cycles like its getting it but then nothing shows up.

I have taken the battery out
made sure the tcp settings are correct
    registered it
changed my camera settings to normal and the smallest size.

I have goggled myself to death about this and am at a loss. I know other people use at&t/cingular and they do not have this problem with their unlocked blackberry's. I need advice on what to do, this is driving me crazy!

Did you go to options> MMS and set multimedia reception to always and automatic retrieval to always.

yes I have done that as well, it seems like there is just something thats just not input right. Before i did the above I never could do email and MMS, it would tell me no service contract. Now I can build the MMS but it just doesnt send through correctly. Email works fiine, as of this morning I still cannot view any pics sent to my phone.
I have a 2gig micro SD and it has 1.9 gig free space on it.

Have you called your carrier about this problem to rule out something wrong on there end?

Yes I did, yesterday I spent 30 minutes with them going over everything. Their tier 3 support techs told me that it sounds like something on my end is the issue. They could not help me after that as they have no documentation on the 8220.

You should update the OS to T-Mobile 4.6.0.180 this is the most recent supported version.

That's a T-Mobile OS you have now, the carriers file was probably removed. Read the pinned post on OS upgrade and it will tell you how to do it. The phone will function much better after update.

4.6 is best for this or you can use apploadrr.exe which is in the OS download file. The vendor.xml file you need to delete is in C:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader.

The Vendor file shouldn't give an error.....if you leave it in it would just not update...right?
