The Pearl Flip 8220—bless its unreliable electronics—does have the ability to scan for and connect to Wi-Fi networks, but so far as I know, the 8230 doesn't have any Wi-Fi capacity or electronics whatsoever. That makes me curious to know what value an Wi-Fi external detector would have with an 8230. Is the idea to use the phone's OS to run the detector for other purposes?
