Firewall question

Hi, I have the 8320 peal flip for personal use--my first blackberry. It came with the firewall disabled. Is there a reason I should enable the firewall? Would this block out everyone except those I specifically allowed in? (Oy.) Are there other security settings that I should know about as far as personal use? (Other than the obvious home computer security stuff). Thanks!

I think you will find that most people leave the firewall disabled. You might enable it if you get a lot of SMS spam from people not in your contacts, or if you get charged a lot for MMS.

How do you find out if you have the firewall disabled or enabled?? I'd prefer it disabled I think.
