Exterior screen just white

I bought a T-Mobile Blackberry Pearl Flip on Ebay. Supposedly new or like new. I got it and everything works fine, except the outer screen stays white. Doesn't show anything, just white. How can I fix this? Thanks!

Why would I need a whole new screen? It seems like it's just an internal problem with the OS or maybe a file or something. Anyone have any ideads? Thanks!

Not sure about the 8230, but the early 8220 OS versions used the BB Attachment Service to manage the outer screen. Hook up to Desktop Manager on your PC, go to the Applications tab, and under the BB OS stuff see if the BB Attachment Service is installed.
