Default Differences between 8220 and 8230 BESIDES the radio?

I was under the assumption that the only real difference between the 8220 and the 8230 was that the 8220 has a GSM radio versus the CDMA radio in the 8230. However, I have had several themes listed as being designed for the 8220 that give me warnings when I try to switch to them.

Also, I noticed that on the BlackBerry App World, Gameloft lists games as being available for 8220 but not the 8230. I asked them why and they said that the games showed bugs when they tried running them on the 8230 so they haven't released any games to the 8230. Now, that could be a bogus answer, as the actual phone it lists as being compatible with is "BlackBerry 8220/9100" and since the 9100 hasn't been released yet and the final form hasn't been confirmed, I doubt that their answer is correct.

That said, is there any other difference between the 8220 and the 8230?

The 8220 has Wifi but no GPS, the 8230 has GPS but no Wifi.

Also, the OS versions are different which is why the themes give you that warning and possibly why the game experiences bugs on the 8230. The 8220 is running 4.6.0.xxx and the 8230 is running 4.6.1.xxx.

But I'm not familiar with themes not running properly on later OSes. Usually they say "4.2 and up" or "4.5 and up" so that later OSes should work.

With Plazmic and themes for the Flip, they have to be exported for the specific OS. Or at least that is how I understand it. When exporting there is the option for both 4.6.0 and 4.6.1. If the theme has been exported specifically for 4.6.0 there is a chance that it may not function properly on a device running 4.6.1.
