current curve user, interested in flip
Hi guys, I just wanted to ask about typing. Every review talks about the Sure Type with the QW ER TY keypad, but I'm not sure I'd be happy with it. Is there a way to make it multitap like a alphanumeric keypad? I previously owned a SE P1i and it had a rocker QW ER TY pad and was just as easy as typing on the curve's pad. I do hope its possible

Yes you can change it to multi tap but you will find that suretype is much faster and very accurate.

Great! I hoped it had multitap mainly because I don't like predictive text, I never use t9 or anything. I am pretty fast with multitap (not to brag
) so I guess with a little practice and getting to know the location of letters, I'll do just fine. Plus I type in two languages and predictive text would probably slow me down... well, thanks! Good to know, now I just gotta decide between this and the 8900/9700

OMG if you have the chance between the flip and the 9700 go with the Bold 9700. There is no contest between which two are better

Yeah, I know it's really a no-brainer, but my intention is to buy 2 more blackberies. The flip was my first choice over the 8900 because that one is so similar to my Gemini and the Flip has a nice shape to it. And since the 9700 has just come out its too expensive (I'm on prepaid). So I wanted to buy the flip and later buy the Bold 2 or the 8900.
