Camera image size

So what i am dealing with is the limited picture format sizes for the camera. I have wasted alot of tome looking for a third party app that would overcome this disadvantage but ended up nowhere. so basically is there a way to have the camera take the picture in the right sizes for example 1200x1600 instead of 1600x1200. it shure would save me alot of time if anybody could help.

uh... I'm not quite sure what you're looking to do... Have you tried to turn the phone sideways?
The 1200x1600 is number of pixels across X number of pixels down. If you're looking to take a picture with your 2mp camera (1600x1200) and have it come out as (1200x1600), it's the same size but turned 90 degrees...

It is simply how the pixels are laid out in the cmos sensor in the camera... IE: it's a hardware limitation, set this way since almost all cameras (ie: 35mm) when held normally, produce a picture that is wider than it is tall (4"x6" prints?), Those portrait pics (6"x4") were achieved by simply turning the camera...

yeah, turn the camera sideways. then use preview to turn the image 90 degrees. this isn't rocket science, people.

Yes I understand what your saying the problem is then all of my pictures are sideways which is quite a hassle especially when I send them to others in a email ect So if it was the other way to start with it sure would help. I am sure it could be that way it's just the fact blackberry didn't make the programing for the the differnt screen format. Hard for me to explain in text and more details you need?
