Calendar Alert Won't Go Away - Help!

I have been on a mission all morning to figure out the answer to this but to no avail...

I had a calendar reminder go off, I dismissed it as usual but on my clock that calendar alert (looks like a red calculator) was still there. So I went to delete the alert itself from my calendar but the alert was still there under my clock settings (to the right of where the alarm would show)... so I pulled the battery, resync'd and did absolutely everything I could think of.

Is there any solution to this or does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a calendar folder that would still be holding onto the alert or anything?

I'm desperate as it is driving me crazy, lol.
