Default Blackberry Pearl screen just went plain white???

    Hello everyone,

My cousin was using his blackberry Pearl and after he was finished making a call his screen went all white. It is not functional anymore.

I tried taking the battery and SIM card out and leaving it out for 10 minutes and then tried to use it again but the same problem persists.

Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated

sounds like something serious, try updating the software with the DM and/or pressing around the screen because maybe a flex cable came loose?

I would wipe the device and re-install the OS...

To wipe it go to Options>security options>general settings>menu>wipe handheld

    Same thing happened to me.
A woman I work with who sold cell phones for 15 years told me to take the battery out and run a pencil eraser over the battery connections, then to hold down the power button when I put the battery back in. Once the battery is replaced, release the power button, and then push it to turn the phone on.

Seems to be working just fine now...
