blackberry msn not working!!!

i am with rogers blackberry pearl flip 8220 ..everything works well though, youtube, facebook, etc..but when i try to sign in on msn (windows live messenger app), it says Connecting for HOURS while the msn icon is spinning. i wait and wait and it still says connecting..please help

All I can think to do is look for an update or go to options, applications, look for msn and set all permissions to allow then restart your device and hope it works
