Another Backlight Question...

Fairly new, I have a blackberry 8320 pearl flip, and sometimes when it rings, there is no backlight on the front screen. If you look real close, it has the caller ID displayed, but is virtually unreadable. Sometimes it lights right away, others it takes 2 rings or so. I have numerous numbers that forward to my phone, so I need to know who is calling when I awnser. I have set automatic dimming to off, and set the backlight timer to 45sec, still seem to have the same intermittant results. Thanks.

I haven't noticed a backlight lag on incoming calls with my 8220 Flip. I've got Backlight Brightness 10, Backlight Timeout 30 sec and Automatic Dimming on. Maybe this only applies to text and email, but what are your External Notification settings? I have Automatic Backlight yes, and Notification Duration default.
