8220 Keypad Lock

Hi,

I've spent hours Google-ing, I can only find lots of people asking this but no answers.

I've a blackberry Pearl 8220 Flip. When I flip open the phone they keypad is locked, I've never seen this on any other flip phone? It's very annoying.

Can I unistall the Keypad lock? Or disable it?

hello....... with the Blackberry Style (9760) coming out. are they going to discountinue the Blackberry Pearl Flip?

To unlock your phone
1) On the Lock Screen, click your trackball
2) Click Unlock
3) Enter your Password

To stop phone from locking when you close the flip
1) Go to device options, click on Password
2) Scroll to Lock Handheld Upon Closing
3) Click on YES and change the field to NO
4) Press the Menu Key
5) Click on Save Settings

That should do it.

To just unlock the keyboard (if there is no password on your phone)
1) Press the asterisk (*) key and the Send key together
