Default Basic Today Plus Theme - 8220 (Flip) - 4.6

When I swapped my 8100 for an 8220, I had no idea I would lose my Today Plus theme. After banging my head against the world wide wall for a week trying to find one, I downloaded the CDK from BB and spent a few hours playing with it (that is one buggy s/w package).

Around 2:00 am I came up with something I am happy with. I'm glad to share. This is my first attempt, so be gentle.

Icons are customizable.

This is for a desktop install. If someone can tell me how to make this available OTA (and there is any interest), I would be happy to do so.

Also, if you have suggestions for improvements, please let me know.

Default .alx and .cod files together

Here is a single zip file with both the new cod and alx files together. To install, unzip to a single folder and run the Application Loader.

Talking I would love this for the 83XX series

Could you convert this to the 83xx series? I love it. I own a 8320 curve. Thank you for your consideration!

Default One suggestion...

Great theme. I had a similar one for my original Pearl, but that one had one additional feature. If you set your Blackberry to separate Email and SMS messages, then the Today theme showed a separate SMS Inbox (first 2 messages) on the home screen.

Here's how you set that option on the BB:

Messages -=> Options => General Options => SMS and Email Inboxes =>
Seperate

I hate to ask since you've done this for free, but any chance you can add this to your theme? It's really a critical feature for those who get dozens of email messages throughout the day (e.g. possibly copies they view first on their computer) but never want to have an SMS get lost in the email pile and therefore miss it completely...

Thanks!

Default Thanks for the theme

As a newbie I spent a while trying to figure out what setting I had to change to see my upcoming appointments on the home screen, like I had seen on my co-workers' Pearl. Today I asked, learned I needed a 'today' theme, and have downloaded this one. Thanks!

Since my Flip replaces a phone and an ancient Palm, I'm not focused on messages but instead on personal information management, so my ideal might be to have tasks listed instead of messages, but we'll see how my use of the Flip develops. This is still a great step forward for me. Much appreciated.

about this theme, does it offer 5 icons going down the left side? and does it have the icons scrolled along the bottom and the side ones like in the picture , because i was hoping it would be just the side bar icons. i hope that made sense and ota distribution sounds quite nice, wish i knew how to get that going then i'd give you a hand lol
