heed a little help with a theme!

a friend made me a theme and i can not get it to go onto my phone!!! i know im putting it on the phone right so is there something wrong with the file?? can anyone help me please!!!!!! thanks

are you doing it from the desktop manager?

You need to extract the zip file,
Go to the application loader,
Browse to the extracted file,
Then choose to install the .alx file.

I am following those steps exactly but it says there are no new applications designed for my device even though I click on the .alx. I go to browse and to the folder where the files are and select the .alx file and it says searching and goes through a loading bar very quickly and then says no files are found that are designed for my device. I loaded 5 last night but the ones I downloaded today won't work...any ideas?? I'm really confused!! I've even tried using the update one instead of add applications and nothing works.

HELP!!!!

Weird... I have no idea.

Only thing I could think is if the files weren't unzipped, but you said the other apps didn't work either...
It usually does it automtically, but did you battery pull after install?

The only thing I can think of is that when I unzipped the files today I only took out the .alx files and not the others. Last night I didnt know what files I needed so I took them all out. Would that affect it? I just tried a battery pull so let me see if this works...if anyone has any more ideas please let me know what I could try!

Yes, you need ALL files. The cod files are the ones that hold info. The alx is like the "exe" that tells the phone how to load stuff. Something like that... Bottom line is you need all files extracted to the same new folder.

I went back and extracted ALL files and it worked! haha. I guess I thought I only needed the .alx files...oops!! thanks for all your help!! Now I have cute themes!!
