YouTube
I can't watch youtube vids on my 8110. Is it just me? Will OS 4.5 help me out?

I believe you're out of luck! The Pearl lacks the hardware to view videos.

That is not completely true. I can view videos on my pearl. All but Youtube Videos.
I can even view videos from other websites. Just not Youtube.
Speak for your own Pearl(8100).
I can view videos on Youtube.com...

Got this from another Crackberry boarder here... You can load a Youtube Icon to you phone here. It is the last one at the bottom of the page. It's not a true dedicated app, but still better than nothin.

For better viewing, set up your browser like this if you have 4.5 Open browser>hit menu>options>browser configurations. Check off every box and set Show Images to: ON WML & HTML pages. Then set Emulation Mode to: BlackBerry. See if this helps you guys out. You can get the YouTube launcher icon here http://www.hostj2me.com/downloads/16...ouTubeIcon.jad use this link with your BlackBerry browser to download...

I already had all those settings and the sound and video quality still sucks.

The Pearl was not really meant to be a full featured media player. In fact, even though you go to YouTube on your phone's browser, your browser will still actually bring you to the mobile version of that site: m.youtube.com, so you're still not playing true flash video. If you want higher quality video playback, you have to get the newer Blackberries like the Storm/Bold, or an iPhone.

youtube accelerometer not working
For some reason, I'm only able to view youtube videos (and all videos for that matter) in horizontal mode with blackberry buttons on the right. Is anyone else having this problem? It's like the accelerometer is turned off. I'd like to be able to view them in either horizontal position.
