When I used to type my pearl would auto finish my words but now it just uses the first letter assigned to that key. It is a pain to type anything now as I would have to press the 2 ty button twice just to get a y. The "ABC" is up on the top right now as well and I never noticed it before. If I press the up down arrow key on the bottom left it changes to a down arrow but still the same issue remains. Anyone have this happen to them? I did a search of the forums and the closest answer I could find was to power down for 30 secs so I tried that first with no success. Thanks.

When you're typing a message, click your menu button and go to option " Enable SureType"

Does that fix it?

Open a message and press the BlackBerry Menu button. Select "Enable SureType".
