You can set a password for your phone by going to Options/Security Options/General Settings/Password: Enable. Select the timeout (inactivity time before the device locks) and leave the attempts at 10. Press the escape key. You will be prompted to enter and then confirm a password. It can be as short as 4 characters. Be sure not to forget it. There is no way to bypass a password lock other than wiping all personal information from your phone. Also, be sure you know what you're typing. There have been several instances of people not realizing caps lock was on and entering "wers" when they intended "1234". Again, entering the password incorrectly 10 times will cause the catastrophic loss of all the personal content on your phone. Be sure to back-up often.
