Please help, my pearl 8130 thru Verizon is very slow and getting worse. Its worse when sending texts, it stalls I cant lock the keys have to hold my phone in hand for ~30 seconds until it frees up. It also once in a while several times a day will get an error message when sending a text "Input system error. . . " I got rid of added themes and apps. All I have left is the miniOpera, no help, pulling the battery doesnt even help

I am running V4.3.0.97, usually just under 10 meg free.

I am ready to get a different smart phone if I can fix this piece.

Under 10 mb is getting low. This could affect the performance of your BB. I know you said you have removed unwanted apps and themes . Have you gone through any more memory optimization. Stoner's guide is very useful for freeing up some vital memory

Definitely follow the guide to memoury optimization. I can almost guarantee this will remedy your issues.

I went thru Stoners easy guide, problems though
1. I am unable to DL the OTA maxmem, he suggests using v. 2 but the site has v. 3, when I try to DL i get and internal server error "HTTP Error 500" Is this because I have Verizon and they have it blocked?
2. I now have ~14 meg free but the BB is no faster. 14 meg should be enough right?

Battery pulls dont do anything, the problem seems to only happen when sending or opening a text. I have a consistent 17 meg after going through the guide but it hasnt helped at all. Im taking it in to Verizon tomorrow, should still be under warranty.

Just got back from Verizon, was there 2.5 hrs, the guy had never seen this problem before, even BB tech support had never seen the problem. They said I need to do a complete reset. If that doesnt fix it, they are gonna send me a new (probably refurb) but that should solve the issue.

The "rebuild" worked, no longer freezes when texting my GF. Well for now anyway.

Yeah that's really slow. I have a tmobile pearl and I'm ok with about 7 megs free
