Using my Canadian 8120 in Ireland

Hi all,

I currently have a Pearl 8120 with Rogers in Canada. In January, I'll be moving to Dublin for 4 months so I'll need a new cell phone carrier for the duration. Will my unlocked 8120 be able to work with Irish carriers if I get a new SIM there? If so, which carriers (if not all) would be compatible with my phone?

I appreciate any help you can give me. I don't want to buy a new phone for only 4 months!

Your Blackberry Pearl 8120 will work with any GSM carrier in ireland (or in any other country) if' it's unlocked.

You can use any GSM carrier in Ireland such as Vodafone, O2, Orange and such.. most carriers worldwide are GSM carriers and unlocked Blackberry devices will work with those sim card you can buy from them... just buy a local sim card - you can even use a pre-paid SIM..
