I have been searching and found several post about using the BB Pearl 8130 as a modem and get on the internet with a PC or Laptop for free. Anyone out there that can tell me if I can do this with Alltel? If so please tell me how.

I've got it but it costs $10 extra and worth it if not near a wireless network to leech from. IDK if rates will vary depending on the market though.

You can tether your pearl and it is fairly easy to do. The rates to tether through alltel have recently changed though, they are no longer $10 for smart phones. It is now $30 to tether your smart phone. If you want to tether you just need to add the feature and download quicklink mobile to your computer.
