I upgraded Opera yesterday and both icons are showing on my homescreen. I went into the applications list to delete the old, and restarted as prompted, and the old icon STILL shows up on the homescreen.

There is now only 1 Opera 4.1 in the applications list.

How do I get rid of the old icon?

Uninstall the older version. I had this happen when I installed the beta of 4.1. I ended up with both 4.0 and 4.1. I removed 4.0 which left me with only 4.1. You can also press menu and go to modules. Or if worse comes to worse, just remove 4.1. and see if it rolls back.

Thanks Sunkast. I know this seems obvious, but I looked for an "uninstall" option and couldnt find one.

    How do you Uninstall?

Go to Options, Advanced options, Applications...then highlight the one you want to uninstall. Then push the button with the dots (to the left of the trackball) and then hit delete.

If you have removed the old program and the icon is still showing up, I'd just hide it.

You could always try the old battery pull. Seems to be the cure for everything.
