Hi. Are you on T-Mobile already? if so, they will give you the unlock code for free. You have to be a customer for 90 days in good standing. That's how I unlocked mine.
I want to unlock my pearl 8120 but I have AT&T. Any idea how to do this?

Call ATT and tell them you're going overseas. I had to wait till I had been with the company for 90 days and add international roaming. Then I got the unlock code from ATT.
I've been with AT&T for several years now. When I've called in the past they would never give me the unlock code.
Also, why should I add international roaming? If I did that, I wouldnt need to unlock it. I want it unlocked so I can go abroad and use a local SIM card.
I apologize, you guys are right. While previous attempts didn't work, this time it did, the customer rep gave me the code and I successfully unlocked my 8120.

I was in South Africa last week and tried to use a friends MTN-brand SIM card in my unlocked 8120. Unfortunately I kept getting the "SIM not provisioned:2" message on the screen and couldn't make any calls.
Hi does anyone know how i can get an unlock code from verizon wireless cause they told me that they donot have unlcodes?? How do i know if i am on a GSM network? Any help please.
Verizon's cell phones aren't on the GSM network - not sure why you'd want to unlock a Verizon phone and you can't take it anywhere or use other SIM cards...
