Is there anyway to turn off UMA but still use the wifi for the web?

This is my girlfriends phone and she doesn't like using UMA as she says the call quility is not very good.

    Any help would be great

The call quality over UMA is clearer or at least as good over cell towers. It's all in her head.

no, you can't disable the wi-fi and still use wi-fi for the internet. If you disable wi-fi then you have to access the internet over the mobile network...

does your girlfriend have a strong wi-fi signal? if not, then yes the call quality will suffer, but codito is right, with a good wi-fi signal the call quality should be better, I know mine is.....
