so i was went to my schools prom last night, with my phone in my pocket, and after leaving i noticed my trackball was acting all kinds of funny. It would select things without me pushing the button (like if i scrolled to the right) or would even select without me doing anything at all. an accidental emergency call was placed this way and it was lame.
so i took out the battery, let it sit over night and all day, and its still acting up. can anybody tell me whats likely happpened or what to do?

part 2- i just removed the trackball cassette and cleaned the inside of my bb and my trackball too. still doesnt work. also blew all the gunk out from inside.
I had this problem with my pearl and I got a replacement under warranty straight from my carrier. I suggest you take it back to the shop and see what they say.
