Oh, OK. I never use the case so the magnet never comes into play for me.

Try holding the * button to lock the keys instead of standby. To unlock you need to push the * then the green phone button in that order so it won't happen by chance.

I just tested it and you can holster and unholster it without the magnet making the keys unlock and you can still get calls and even use your mp3 player with the keys locked. (the volume still works).

Default beep

New here to the forum. I was wondering if you can turn off that beeping chime the phone makes after you push the talk button to make a call?

Exclamation 8130 Tips

The BlackBerry Pearl 8130 sacrifices a full-QWERTY keyboard to attain its very appealing smaller size. But don’t be fooled by the tiny keyboard, it is amazingly powerful. But you need to practice some tips and tricks to be proficient with it. AutoText is accessed from the Options icon on the display. Here is an excerpt from the BlackBerry Pearl 8130 Smartphone User Guide: AutoText is designed to replace specific text that you type with preloaded AutoText entries. If you type text that can be replaced with an AutoText entry, the text changes after you press the Space key.

How do I get voice notes received through Blackberry Messenger to play through the earpiece and not speaker?

I am brand new to the forum and to Blackberry. I have the 8130 VZ Pearl.

What do you mean/how can you get programs down loaded on your computer to your blackberry?

I should also mention that as of yesterday, I gave up my rotary telephone phone, my am transister radio, and am glad I don't have to get up and change the channel on my black and white TV anymore...

I currently have a company 8130 and they tell me that MMS messaging is an added feature, just wondering if anyone knows if I can get this feature somehow / somewhere. If not now, I have heard that within a couple of months Sprint may have this feature available in the normal text package.....Anyone know??

Whats the difference between a SMS text msg and MMS text msg? I have both options on my fone, is 1 better than the other or something?
