Hello. I joined this forum and site so someone could help me with this specific question. My BB Pearl 8130 for some reason deletes ALL my text messages and email messages from its memory. This happens once every week or so. One moment, they are all there. The next time I go in, they're all gone. This includes UNREAD messages (you can imagine angry friends who think I'm just ignoring their messages!).

I have set my profile up NOT to delete them. I've contacted Verizon who confirms that text messages are sent and received.

Could it be a hardware problem? Should I see a BB repair specialist, or would I just need a new SIM card or something? I'm sort of clueless on where to go.

    Anyone's help will be appreciated.

Memory leak you will want to do a battery pull once in a while or use softreset. Also I cant find the link but there is a guide on how to free up more memory on your device by removing unused apps and things.

That was happening with mine too the memory on your phone is low make sure you have a memory card and store everything possible on it! I clean my memory at least once a week too. That should help.

Hey! I took mine back to the store for that. Basically your phone is too full. When it gets that way, its starts deleting what it can, which is basically emails texts and call log. Annoying! Any chance it happens around the time you are taking, saving or sending photos? I can only keep about 6 photos on my phone (not memory card) before it starts freakin out. I have to either send my photos to my email, sync them, facebook, or something. But I try to keep them off of my device memory.

Then you definitely need a memory card! Only keep aaplications on your device memory (because you cant put them on you memory card) but make sure ALL your media is on the memory card...also its good to do a soft reset or battery pull once a week to correct your phone's "memory leak" and get it back to its actual level.
