Just got the Blackberry 8130 and had a few questions. I use Gmail as my email account, have it setup using MS Outlook 2003 on my desktop.
Is it possible to sync my Blackberry with Tasks and Calendar in MS Outlook 2003 with the 8130? (Im thinking about exchanging it for the 8703 or 8830 world edition)
Yes. I have a Sprint 8130 and sync it to my Outlook 2003 at work. I only synce calendar, tasks, and addressbook with outlook. You just need Blackberry Desktop Manager (don't know it you also need the Blackberry Device manager - the CD from Sprint just installed everything for me.). If you didn't get a cd from your wireless provider, you can download everything you need from blackberry.com.
Well, Ive already installed the desktop manager software, I selected the Redirector option and when I hit sync neither my calendar nor tasks are transferred to my blackberry. The only options I have are ASCII and Yahoo, should I have others?
I had some problems with newer versions of the Desktop mgr software and syncing my 8130 to Ooutlook. Ultimately I had to drop back to V.4.2 SP2 and everything is fine now.
I'm new from using palm. I don't get the sync process here. I just lost all my calender data on my 8130, after I let the battery die. I have been syncing it regularly, although all my data and some important info is gone. Any tips?
Also where is this ASCII where the calender is synced with. I can't find it anywhere.
