Ok i searched and could not find anything to help me out. My friend just got the bb 8110 from AT&T and she is having trouble with her speaker phone. When she gets a call and answers the phone it automatically goes to speaker phone. Is there a default setting or something to stop this from happening?

Press the '$' key while in call (will turn her speakerphone off!)

I am not sure why it automatically opens the call with speaker on. What OS is she using? And is her '$' button stuck??

she got the phone saturday and the OS is 4.3.0. her address book is also not copying from the sim card. could it be that the phone is defective? and i am a guy.

So i played around with her phone last night and could not figure anything out. Does anyone else have any input?

I found another posting on here with somebody who had the same issue. Try a battery pull. Take out the battery for 30 seconds then re-innsert it. It worked for them.

in advanced settings, under phone (i believe) select copy sim to address book - restart phone

during a call - press speaker button (P) and should turn it off/on

Mine has been doing the same thing ever since I downloaded .44. When I try to turn the SP off, it doesn't turn it off.
Also, when I click a letter for quick dial, the home screen stays on and not the pic and info of who I'm calling.
Any suggestions??
