Satelite Problems

I currently have a Blackberry 8130, and i have BBmaps whenever i try and get it to acquire a satellite, it keeps searching and never finds any, I love the phone but wanna get the most out of it and it never seems to find anything any help.

Do you have the GPS source set in BBMaps Options? Have you tried any other free GPS app, such as Google Maps, Nav4All, or amAze? If not, try one of them as well. And make sure you're outdoors with a clear view of the sky.

Ya i was outside while doing it waited for a while to but nothing said could not find source for gps or something i'll try aMaze see if it works thanks again i'll update

In Options / Advanced Options on your BlackBerry, do you have GPS source set to device or internal, whichever your choice is? Do you have Location Based Services On?

What is your carrier? (on WAP and can't see) If you have Verizon, GPS is disabled. It won't work for you without a puck.

My phone is set to device gps, and location is on on my gps im thinking maybe something wrong with the phone not sure =/

I'm with telus and i have unlimited data usage including gps but it sucks that this isn't working

I'm with US Cellular and I couldn't get mine to work either....

for anyone else having problems i found updating the OS helps i got my gps running and everything is working now even google maps which was going wonky on me before!
