My husband has a curve. He often drags and drop songs from his Itunes library directly into the BB desktop manager's ringtones folder with no problem.

I got my first BB yesterday - an 8130. I tried to do the same thing. I drag a song from Itunes and drop it in my ringtones folder. When I check the phone itself - the song appears in Music and my Ringtones folder is empty. Does the Pearl function differently in this regard? P.S. - when I look back at the desktop manager the song IS in ringtones.

I'm lost. Any advice would be appreciated.

Not sure if this is it or not, all my custom tones dropped into ringtones are short in length. That may be an issue for you on the 8130 not sure.

I have had no trouble with them going into the ringtone folder on my phone with a short length.
