    Why is it that when I play a MP3 on my 8130 it sounds real loud at full volume but when I set that same MP3 as a ring tone the sound isn't as loud (even if the ringer volume is set to max)?

    Most likely you are using a profile that may be limiting the ringer volume. If this is the case you can edit the profile.

    Unfortunately yes, there is a noticeable difference due to the Media Player using two speakers and the ringer only using one.
