Has anyone tried replacing the stock LED in the 8130 with the multi-color LED from the 8100, thus giving the 8130 the best feature of the 8100, the multi-color ball?

wont work. the multi-color led requires more control lines (one for each color; red, green, blue) wheras the white single color led just requires one control line. since it was never designed to use the multi-color led, the extra control lines wont be there.
