I just synched my 8130 with a Plantronics Discovery 655 BT. Ever since, my BB has been turning itself off after a period of time ~ 2 hrs or so. Are these causal or coincidental events? At night, I charge to the green light, then remove the charger from the phone so there is plenty of battery. During the day it is still well charged. I get 4 bars whether at home or at work. Do I need to disable the BT at night? It shouldn't be doing this.

IF all you've done is paired the two devices, I doubt the events are related. If you are leaving them actively communicating, then you might be running your battery down. Leaving the two devices actively linked may be running down your battery.
As a related question, why are you removing the BlackBerry from the charger? It won't hurt to leave it, and that will guarantee its charge won't run down if the headset is connected.
