Problems Problems - No Connection to Make Calls

Ok so I was given a Pearl 8130 as a replacement because my phone broke...The thing worked fine for about a month and then yesterday it starts acting like the battery is dead and says OFF instead of showing bars?

I fully recharged it...did a battery pull, got on the phone with verizon who suggested a OS upgrade. Went through all of that...upgraded to 4.5 still nothing...did another battery pull, nothing. Did a battery pull with it plugged in, nothing.

To make matters worse I am in nowhere Alabama two hours to the closest verizon shop and I have meeting tomorrow afternoon.

Just friggin lovely....Thanks in advance to anyone that can lend a hand here.
