Does anyone think it will be possible to port the 9100 OS or at least features thereof to the 8130? Afterall, it's the same resolution / screen size.

Would it be possible to transform the 8130 media app and so forth into that of the new Pearl (Striker)?

Would it be possible to create full banner themes for the 81xx device once the 91xx CDK/theme builder is released?

Seeing as how the new Pearl is 3G, I wouldn't think so. But it's an interesting question.

i really doubt it. the 9100 is totally new hardware with a much stronger processor, increased ram, etc, running OS 5 which the 81xx will never see

Hm, not even simply updating the media app? Nothing else. Just the media app interface.

The 9100 and 8130 don't have the same resolution. Just ask Sal......

I don't think the parts of OS4 and OS5 are interchangeable. I've never seen a hybrid that has done that.

no lol u wont get them to load on any old 81XX device..

one more mem on the 9100, and os wont go on as its bigger then the 4.5 and so on and the screenres is a lil bigger so,

as for the 8130 ever getting a new os it wont happen well at least something like 5.0 and up
