BB Pearl 8130 Verizon

The phone key/button (BN) (8) does not work when pressed. Used to work but had to ress extra firm, now when pressed it does nothing. Any ideas how to fix this problem without taking it to Verizon? Thanks.

Try a battery pull (taking the battery off with the phone on).

Seems like a physical problem, not a software issue. Therefore I doubt a battery pull will work. You'll probably have to take the phone apart and clean the contact below that button.

That'll void any warranty, of course.

If you're in warranty by all means have them do it. It'll save problems for you, and document things if there is a question later.
