I'm trying to upgrade my wifes pearl and I have the software downloaded and installed and I also have the latest desktop manager but evertime I plug the phone in the desktop manager recognizes it but it never asks me to upgrade ? What am I diong wrong. And I've already deleted the vender file

did you download the right OS for the right blackberry model? if she has a 8100 pearl, you gotta get the OS specifically designed for the 8100 pearl... i dont know how much you know about this kinda stuff lol =p
