A icon just popped up on the top left of my screen. it has the number "1" followed by a round pearl looking icon. can anyone tell me what that is? thanks.

Depending on theme it may be a voice mail indicator?

nvm, got it. i had just visited crackberry for the first time on my phone and it was a browser push message.

fyi: to get rid of it, go to messages (or an email acct) --> bb key --> view folder --> browser messages.
