OS Install FAIL!

I need some help here!!! I tried updating my OS using desktop manager and for some reason the install failed. Now i have a blinking red led (blinks on the off in about 5 or 10 second intervals). The berry does not power on or do anything else.

The berry is not recognized by my pc when i plug it in by USB so i cannot do anything with it. I have tried the "reload os on nuked berry" thing but is is no luck whatsoever because the PC wont even recognize the berry. I will recognize it when the red LED is solid, but it looses connection when it goes blank.

I am completely lost, is there anything that I can do to bring it back?

I am so pissed off about this whole thing, i didnt even want to do the stupid update, i dont no or care what the differences in the new and old OS are. I only did it because i opened up DM to put some music on my berry and it popped up with teh stupid update thing. Now my berry which was working great doesnt work at all!


edit: the reason the install failed was something regarding a passoword or something....i dont have a password on the berry.

ok new update......

when i try to re-install the OS using the Apploader it seems to connect buy says "The BlackBerry Desktop Software does not have BlackBerry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator."

I have reinstalled desktop manager 5 times from the disk that came with the phone...so i have no idea why it wouldnt have the required software

Anybody have any ideas? Please help, i have been at this for about 9 hours with no luck (and no phone in the mean time)!

update.....i had to delete the "Vendor.xml" file re-did the apploader thing and it all worked out! man this thing was frustrating.
