Any mini usb charger will work that is yes. However there are the odd times that if your blackberry is fully dead, any usb charger will not cut it to power on the phone you would need the exact charger to power it up. As there is a very tiny current difference. Otherwise if your phone is on any usb charger will charge the phone.
I have noticed, BB charging with an USB charger will work fine may take a little bit longer. But using a BB charger on a motorola device is a no go.....
I think you will be fine....Last edited by yester18; 05-09-2008 at 10:17 PM.

They are all really low on amp output. The U in universal does mean at least something.

It will work without problem.

moto chargers
a uscc blackberry tech told me not to use a Motorola charger he said the voltage wasn't the same.

The blackberry requires 5.0v 750mA charging, but anything up to that will work fine.
The Motorola charger is 5.0v 550mA
The BB charger will trip the Safety circuit in the RAZR, as the RAZR requires 550mA or less.
The Motorola charger will charge the BB fine, but a little slower. - 05-10-2008, 11:54 AM #13
I've been using a palm pilot charger because it was already plugged in. It dose take it a while to charge although I don't exactly have anything to compare it to since I have not use my bb charger yet

I use my V3 chargers all the time. The car charger is great on extended trips using gps/map functions. I'm not that concerned about the time because my battery is never empty.

I've found that the only charger that charges my Pearl quickly is the one that came with; if I use any other charger, I either get a trickle charge or none at all.

I just realized same thing. My son was using my krazr charger for his 8130 and is having problems keeping signal/radio off/battery low etc. I checked the output voltage of the krazr/motorola charger, and it's 5volts dc. The krazr battery is 3.6 volts, which makes sense for charging. So how are you going to fully charge a 7.2 or 7.4 volt battery with only a 5 volt charger? Maybe the razr is a higher output voltage? Does anyone know the actual output voltage of a genuine 8130 wall charger? Possibly the car charger is different than the wall charger voltages?

I've used a Motorola charger on my 8703e. The only thing I noticed is when it gets a full charge, the screen will turn on and off. wierd, but worked fine.

I use the Car Charger for my old Razor for my Berry and it works great but as for home chargers I would use the Berry charger. Messing with what is set for 110 power and crossing things with chargers could over time prove to harm the phone.
