I bought our youngest daughter a used 8130 off eBay and while loading all of the software onto her laptop, I allowed it to do the search for upgrades. Many were found. After installation of the latest drivers (4.7) I downloaded the latest device package and while it was installing 4.5 to the device, it came up with an error and suggested that I "retry" the installation. The device seemed stuck with the linked devices icons presented. Since it would do nothing, I pulled the USB cord and after that ...the only thing that the phone will do is power up with a single icon on a white background. The little icon has a square, a circle and triangle ...with a diagonal line through the whole thing. Like the "NOT" expression.

How do I remove a half-installed OS and proceed ? Or "what now?"
