Default Not powering on

My sister in law gave me her dead AT&T pearl. It lights up for 30 seconds with the hour glass spinning then goes blank and red light blinks. Any clue what this could be? It does nothave a SIM card in it but would this not let it power up? It did the same thing with the card in it. I'm not going to use it I have alltel. I have a 8130 pearl so I guess if nothing else I can use the battery. But if I can figure something out for her she'll use it.

It sounds to me like she somehow bricked it. I would try to plug it into your cpu and see if your destop manager can connect to it. Then I would see if you could download the OS from AT&T and try to apply it to the pearl. After all is said and done do a bettery pull. Let us addicts know how it goes.
