hi everyone

just got a BB for the 1st time today, just getting the hang of it and very much enjoying so far!

one problem though-- i have been trying to setup my gmail account for a while now and not having any luck. i followed the directions on the gmail website and get all the way to step 10 with no problems (enter email, username (same as email), password and imap address (imap.gmail.com) and then it says, after processing, "an error occurred during email account validation. please check your information and try again"

i know i am spelling everything correctly! so whats up?! can anyone help/suggest anything?!

just download the gmail app Gmail or add your username and password to your BIS account...

Welcome to CB, you can go into setup on your BB and do it via the mail settings.

Yes but the thing is that going through setup and mail settings I can only set up a BES account! it won't offer me to setup a pop3 or imap account... how do I do that?
