I lost my phone, and my friend gave me his old Pearl 8110. I wanted to set up my email on it, but I don't know how to. And I would like to use the BBM, but when I sent a request to someone and it didn't go thru. Any ideas?

You need to get a BlackBerry data plan with a carrier. If your friend never released his pin, he will need to call the carrier and release the pin so it can be assigned to your account.
