My 8120 refuse to turn on after swimming in my bath

I have a 8120 which properly dived in my bath for like 2 or 3 seconds last week. He refused to turn on then, and today I just received a brand new battery and put it inside. I have only a red light for 2 or 3 seconds when I plug it to my computer. The blackberry device manager can recognize it for 2 or 3 seconds also and then it disappears...
Should I put him to the garbage? or back to swimming for the rest of his days?

Oh and another question : can I save my datas which are inside the internal memory?

Finally I downloaded BB Desktop Software, he can regnize the blackberry without problem and give me his key, and even ask me his password but he can't connect to it...
